Lacy Hunter

Hi, I’m Lacy, a child therapist with a Master’s in Counselling (MACP), certified through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCC) and working toward registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). I’ve spent the past 20 years supporting children and families from all backgrounds, and I truly believe in the power of meeting kids where they’re at, especially when that means heading outdoors and letting nature lead the way.

My approach is playful, curious, and grounded in connection. Whether we’re walking forest trails, exploring the fairy garden, or spending quiet time with animals, I aim to create a space where children feel safe enough to be themselves and brave enough to face what’s hard. I’m certified in Play Therapy and bring experience in Behavioural Therapy and Early Intervention to my practice. I work with all kinds of minds and hearts, and I’m LGBTQ+ friendly and affirming of every family, culture, and story that comes through our gates.

Outside of sessions, you’ll find me adventuring with my partner and kids, often with a paddle-board, a backpack, or a pile of art supplies in tow. We love hiking into new lakes, crafting up a storm, or hanging out with our dogs and cats. I also have a deep love for words, music, and theatre, and feel most at home when I’m creating or exploring.

I look forward to welcoming you to our outdoor space, where therapy is a little muddy, a little magical, and deeply rooted in what it means to be human.
